What we process and why
- Enquiries and quotes (web form, WhatsApp, email, phone): name, surname, phone, email, the service and size requested, how often you expect to need access, and your message. Purpose: to answer you and prepare a quote. Legal basis: your consent and pre-contractual steps at your request (art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
- Clients: identity, contact, bank and contract details; photographs of goods received into custody. Purpose: performing the contract, invoicing, arrival notices and service messages. Legal basis: contract and legal obligations (art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
- CCTV: images of the premises. Purpose: security of people and goods. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Footage is kept for a maximum of 30 days.
- Web analytics: browsing data through Google Analytics 4, only if you accept analytics cookies. Legal basis: consent.
Recipients
We do not share your data with third parties except where required by law. We use processors acting on our behalf: Netlify (hosting and forms), Meta Platforms Ireland (WhatsApp Business), Google (Analytics, email), Supabase (management application), and our accountants and bank for invoicing and collections. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions).
Retention
Enquiries that do not become a contract: 12 months. Client data: for the duration of the contract and then for the statutory tax and commercial retention periods (generally 6 years). Browsing data: per Google Analytics settings (14 months by default).
Your rights
You may access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict or port your data, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to info@menorcaselfstorage.com with a copy of your ID. If you believe your rights have not been respected you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Cookies
Cookies used: _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics 4, 2 years, only after consent); ss_consent (this site, stores your cookie choice, 1 year, local storage).
